Jen Allen Workshop: Flex & Fold, Wet Altering Techniques

This two-day, hands-on workshop will focus on wet-altering techniques using hand-built and/or wheel thrown forms. We will begin with simple methods of alteration on cup forms: stamping, pinching, stretching, dimpling, etc; then move on to more complex ideas like darting & using the wheel to create non-round forms. Glass Mushrooms

Join local glass artist Jim Treese to create a set of 2 mushrooms using colored glass frit (powder.) We will apply the frit to a base layer of 5" round, clear glass; and each finished piece will be heated and slumped to form the mushroom cap.
